Learning/Sharing Suzuki Style

I have many memories of attending Suzuki institutes with my mom as a young child. Memories include: learning vibrato, attending inspiring performances, playing ping pong, sharing meals with family/friends, tough talks with conductors, pen pals, and much more.

30+ years later, it is my joy to announce that along with my colleague, Dr. Daniel Saenz, we are starting a brand new Suzuki Institute at the Sam Houston State University this summer, June 25-June 30th, 2023. We hope to provide the next generation with a summer home for musical and personal enrichment for children and their families.

In addition to the two student programs we are offering (Institute & Advanced Strings) there is an integral part, which many people don’t realize – Teacher Training. We are fortunate to have four of the most experienced and renowned teacher trainers joining us, teaching the next generation of Suzuki teachers along side our younger students!
